Kelly Lenard-Chadwick

Kelly Lenard-Chadwick joined the Berkeley Endowment Management Company in 2011 and focuses on administrative and operational support. Kelly began her career with more than ten years in banking, in a variety of lending, finance, and client service roles. Subsequently, she transitioned to real estate, working as a part of an elite team within the Corcoran Group. She earned a B.A. Administration of Justice from Pennsylvania State University.

Sonal Patel

Sonal Patel joined the Berkeley Endowment Management Company in 2011 as an Associate Director of Investments. Sonal brings with her over five years of public equities experience as a research associate covering US oil & gas in the active equity research group at TIAA CREF and as an associate analyst covering US retail & internet at Prudential Equity Group. Previously, Sonal began her career as an investment banking analyst at Merrill Lynch and an auditor at Deloitte & Touche, then branched out into the business development arena with a successful start-up. She earned a B.A. in Economics and Psychology from UCLA and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Josh Piuma

Josh Piuma joined the Berkeley Endowment Management Company in 2010. Prior to joining BEMCO, Josh was most recently a Vice President at ValueAct Capital, a long-only concentrated investment partnership, and previously worked at Jupiter Partners, a middle market private equity firm. He began his career as an investment banking analyst at Merrill Lynch. Josh earned a B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and an M.B.A from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

John-Austin Saviano

In 2009, John-Austin Saviano was named the founding president and CIO of the Berkeley Endowment Management Company after a competitive, nationwide search. Prior to joining BEMCO, Saviano was a senior consultant at Cambridge Associates, where he advised the investment committees and internal staff of a broad range of endowment and foundation clients. Previously, Saviano served on the investment team that oversaw the $5.6 billion endowment at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. He began his career financing the growth and operations of public and private companies, as both a senior creditor at a commercial bank, and as venture investor for a small public company and a family office. Saviano earned a B.A. in economics from the UC San Diego and an M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Nicholas Werner

Nicholas Werner joined the Berkeley Endowment Management Company in 2010 as a Director of Investments. For the eight years prior to joining BEMCO, Nick worked at Ironwood Capital Management, a multi-billion dollar fund of hedge funds, where he most recently served as a managing director, head of the research department, and as a member of the Investment and Management Committees. Nick began his career as an analyst in the real estate investment banking group at Banc of America Securities. Nick graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Michael Whitticom

Mike Whitticom joined the Berkeley Endowment Management Company in 2011 as an Investment Associate. Before joining BEMCO, he worked at Partners Capital Investment Group where he focused on market research and manager due diligence for their global equities strategies. Mike began his career at Cambridge Associates, advising both institutional and private clients on their investment portfolios. He earned a B.A. from Dartmouth College and completed the Tuck School of Business Bridge Program.
